You almost got me crying reading this. I don’t have ADHD. But my mom does and every morning when I wake up to a missed call from her telling me "Ral, I can’t find my notebook when it’s writing in front of her. It makes me cry on the phone"

I love this post, Kate! I, too, have trouble asking for help, but what happens to me that things I have trouble doing just sit in a corner and don’t get done. At this stage of the game, I hope we can get better at reaching out.
And I know with your work you’re always having to ask. I’ve always found that the hardest part of journalism is the constant having to ask for interviews. You’re an optimist, Marilyn. I don’t think I’ll ever get better at it. But email helps. I remember the old days of having to reach out by phone. Nightmare!
For sure! I remember sitting in my office gearing up for those calls. I'm glad we can send emails and texts now, but they come with their own challenges. A lifelong challenge to push myself out of my comfort zone!
